After twenty years of campus school teaching, I transitioned to a unique online teaching position in which I led live lessons of Core French in virtual worlds. Students attended classes as avatars and developed projects in this context. We experience great success with student engagement in this project.Recently, I joined the Curriculum Development department with Heritage Christian Online School. We oversee development and maintenance of a wide range of exceptional online courses, tailored to meet the requirements of the BC Ed. Plan.I live in Victoria, BC with my husband of Dave, who works as a Civil Technologist; daughter Emily, who currently attends UVIC; son Nathan, who is a full-time online student with Heritage; and our dog and cat. When I am not at my computer working with students and curriculum, you may find me out in the garden, hiking, paddle-boarding, and reveling in the great outdoors!
